the Residence Hochwart in Naturno
The idyllic village of Cirlano is set 1 km southwest of Naturno at the foot of the Tablà hills, slightly raised at an altitude of 570 m above the sea in a beautiful sunny position surrounded by orchards and pastures. The cozy village with its 500 inhabitants is a popular holiday destination to tourists and a beloved home to locals alike.
Along the streets, you will encounter old farmhouses, every one of which has a history to tell.
In the small alleyways with their ivy-bedecked walls, an observant eye for the artistic will note wrought-iron window grills, bulging baking ovens and ancient sundials on the walls of houses.The ceiling fresco and altar-side paintings by Baroque artist Simon Ybertracher (1694-1772) in the St. Oswald Church are especially worth a look. Its narrow, Gothic tower will lead the way there.A number of walking paths lead out from the town, and directly on the outskirts of the village you will find the Val Venosta cycle path. You can get to Naturno centre in just a few minutes either by bus or on foot.
We recommend a bike tour with the whole family along the Via Claudia Augusta in Val Venosta, as well as a hike on the Gsindboden circular path.
